Commuting - Frances, bring it on!

I have to say today was probably one of my most arousing commutes ever. I woke up to dark skies and heavy rain and decided to ride in. Made sure my helmet blinker had new batteries and popped my light & motion 26 watt dual headlight on and headed out. The streets were lined with cars backed up in traffic. There were only 5-6 cars that I counted total during my commute that actually beat me on the streets. The floods were pretty hairy though, one section I went through was deep enough that my BB and crank was under water and it was up to my hubs. I wonder what that'll do to em.

Plus I've never seen so many chicks in wet transparent t-shirts in my life, I think that was probably the most dangerous part of my commute today was I couldn't find it in me to keep my eyes on the road. :eek:

i was a sucker and was delayed a long time on the trains. sadly there were no wet t-shirt wearing chicks for me this morning. :(

no wet t-shirt contests for me this AM (unless you count mine). The rain makes for some dramatically long fixie skids tho;)

Heh my fenders also don't go forward far enough to catch the water that comes out the front and then gets whipped back by the wind.

We're just getting the northern tip of what's left of Frances, still lotsa rain and wind. My touring bike was very steady in the gusty crosswinds and I managed to keep my left foot dry. The right got wet from the water trail from the front of the back fender getting blown all over the chain ring and into my shoe. It took me a while to figure out why one foot was soaked and one was dry!
No chicks in tee shirts here, either!!

Well, that was an uneventful ride home, just drizzle...
