ok. the geometry is obviously crappy, but wood wheels? what gives?
has anyone seen the all wood bike at the bike museum in chicago (at least it was there ten years ago) that was made mostly of bamboo and weighed in at under 14 pounds?
look at that wheelbase. longer than the rider?
oh yeah, it was built pre-20's

Wood was the stuff to use to make rims back in the day. Light, strong and you were gluing the tire on it so know need of a hook rim. My boss has guite few bikes in his collection with wooden rims. And one sixties Raleigh professional built up with new Record and wooden rims(Some guy turns out a few hundred every year or so for the restorers.) They are made from a laminated hoop) He has to use carbon brake pads or they, the pads, wear out to quick
