Just a warning to anyone thinking of buying these tires.

I took the wife's Salsa Fargo in due to not having time to make repairs on my other bikes. It was wet and when cornering on a section of the wet concrete bike path, the bike almost slid out from under me. Since then I've used the bike a couple of times and had a few frights with these stock tires in wet conditions.

WTB Vulpines and wet weather don't mix.

Those tires were made for dry/ hardpack 'dirt'.

I knew after I submitted the post I'd get this response.

I didn't pay any attention to the tire until it started slipping and I actually took a close look at the design, if you knew nothing about bikes, (my wife wanted the bike because of it's nice color for example), and took this out you'd be in for a shock and probably a nasty accident.

To put a tire like this on a touring bike is ludicrous. I would expect some grip in wet conditions, there are other tires that are fast but still offer grip in the wet. I can't imagine how scary this tire would be when the bike is fully loaded.
