Thats actually a pretty cool build, on the disc wheel though whats with all the holes by the edges, never seen that before other than the usual cutout for the valve

Outstanding

To field a few of the first questions, the disc wheel (mavic comete +-) is a time trial model with holes to mount outboard weights as you see fit. This increases the flywheel effect and helps alieviate crosswinds too.
The frame is a zodiac design first available in 1989 through (best guesses say) 91 or 92.
When equipped with lightweight wheels and drop bars the bike weighs 18.8 pounds, as shown it is probably about 21.5 lb.

Ill take detail shots today but as for now I'm off to a wedding.

Here you can see the rear brake bridge that is a known weakness on these frames. the right side came unbonded and was reapaired with araldite 2014.

Aside from the bartape and chain everything on the bike is from 89-91
The 3G was available in 91 but only seen by most of the public in the 1992 barcelona olympic games

The weights in the comete are specific to the wheels, made from steel weighing from 130g to 780g (from mavic website). I dont know weather they were held in with clip in caps or adhesive sticker caps but they were originally supplied with the wheel in yellow. most people use electrical tape nowadays.

Holy cow, lots or rare, expensive Mavic stuff on that build! I haven't seen one as built to the edge of the envelope as yours was.
Weren't these solid rear disc wheels used more on 24" front wheeled TT "funny" bikes and not the "straight" frames like this Peugeot Pro?
It's a fantastict build with definite serious "tout mavic" flavor, but I can''t seem to connect the frame to the wheels when I look at it, if you are meaning to build a "period correct" bike. Maybe it's more of a period "special" instead?

Thanks for the info. I've been vaguely looking for one of those discs (or a normal comete with the old logos) for my pinarello/mavic TT bike.
