Fifty Plus (50+) - Still Miss Him!
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Went to greater things 10 yrs ago. The guy who bought me my first bike, taught me how to ride a bike, took off my training wheels and sent me on my way. Somehow I think he reached down and gave me a big push when I desperately needed it trying to climb a hill this week and had absolutely nothing in the tank. Miss you Dad!
Nice tribute jppe. I am sure he is smiling down on you.
Lost mine when I was 6. Not too many memories but a few have stayed with me. I have thought about him a lot though throughout my life.
Envy all of you who have been lucky enough to have had ANY positive relationship with your father(s). Mine was basically a "NO-SHOW". Trying hard to be a good Dad for my daughters.

Good thoughts - glad he was there for you physically then and in spirit now.

My dad died 2 years ago. Your post reminded me of the day he taught me to ride a bike. :)
