Mountain Biking - Good full finger XC gloves

It seems I'm in the minority, among people I know anyway, in that I prefer full fingered gloves for XC riding, even when its 90 plus. Unfortunately, I left my favorite pair on my bumper and now they're somewhere along the I-440 beltway south of raleigh. I replaced them with the same model, but it's not the same.

I picked up a new pair of Fox Reflexes, but the problem now is that the whole glove gets soaked with sweat, including the palm. When the palm gets soaked, it begins to stretch and them rub a hotspot into my hand, just at the "crotch" (if you will) of my thumb and palm. This has never been a problem before.

Does anyone have any good XC glove recommendations? Obviously, I'm looking for something full-fingered with decent padding. Thanks!

I'm the the full-finger minority as well, & I've been having somewhat of the same issue. I haven't been out since it hit mid-90's in GA yet, but I'm supposed to go with a friend tomorrow so I'll see how my gloves do. I just wear a cheap pair of Performance-brand full-singer gloves that I got on sale for $15. They've served me very well so far though. I'll update after my ride tomorrow with how well they do in 95 degree, 90% humidity.

I'm with you as well. I don't seem to have a major sweat problem with my Fox Inclines. They seem to have a little less material than the Reflex, although that does mean a little less padding as well.

I highly recommend the Royal Rivet glove. I got a pair for light-duty DH / practice use and have instead used them much more for XC / trail riding. They're light / thin / cool, grip well and have a terry brow/snot-wipe thumb. Plus they have a good tug-tab for pulling them on and are a pull-on - - so there's no velcor cuff closure to mess with.

Went for a ride & got about as sweaty as I've ever been. No real problems with my gloves. My only problem involving sweat was that it kept dripping down my face into my eyes & the saltiness made it burn. Headband, here I come!

i use Ringer Impact gloves. Not biking gloves, but the best gloves I have used for biking. Usually bike gloves would last a yr or two but these are on their 3rd year. I can wash them etc. I do not do a lot of mountain biking more 20-50 mile rides on my mountain/touring/tricumbent bikes. I got the best deal off of ebay from a place that sells them to mechanics I think. I did think that their rope glove was really good, but the leather on the palm gets in the way with pushing the buttons on my bike computer, but they are very durable also.

I'm a full finger guy also and I think the sweating problem is a common problem with full finger gloves. You will probably have a hard time finding a full finger glove that doesn't sweat.
