Folding Bikes - Sturdy Armchair 3 speed, 2005 Dahon Vitesse- remove back wheel?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. My chum recently scored a 2005/6 Dahon Vitesse D3, with some sort of revolving SA hub-gear contraption on the back. :)
Have any of you peoples got a step-by-step guide, preferably with pictures, to removing and replacing the rear wheel for puncture repair?
She is not the most mechanical of ladies, but is feisty enough to attempt most things. I am not feisty enough to attempt it myself.
Dahon's archive says their 2005 & 2006 Vitesse D3 was fitted with a SRAM T3 internal gear hub. Since you say the one in question has "some sort of revolving SA hub-gear contraption on the back" then it's been modified with who knows what and its almost impossible to give meaningful advice concerning final gear adjustment and getting the cycle back in service.
Shimano, SRAM and Sturmey-Archer all have step-by-step guides for wheel fitting for all their IGH models on their web sites if you can ever figure out with what it is you're dealing.

Thanks. The new owner is from Nottingham, home of British Bicycling, where anything 'hubby' is called a 'Sturmey Archer' even if it's made by Shimano or SRAM. The previous owner advertised it with a 'three speed sturmey archer' (no caps).
I think it's an SRAM T3
Also the year is questionable, I can't tie it down until I get the frame number. 2004/5/6?
(Edit owner just confirmed it's an SA hub and gripshift. )
Yep, looks like a Sturmey SFR3. Might start here:
And this might help:
