Hi everyone,
I can recall learning many things from Sheldon Brown's website and cached threads of old from this community since I began commuting by bike in 2007. I was an undergrad attending UT at the time, picking up biking to swear off long waits when I took the bus and the lack of parking when I drove.
Looking back, I can not pinpoint where I transitioned from functional commuter to obsessed amateur collector. Today, I rotate through my Bob Jackson road, Fuji touring, and National track bike mostly on my 1.5mi commute to work, when I'm not afraid of catching on fire in the Texas heat. And on a reasonable day, I enjoy the occasional overnight tour.
There is wealth of knowledge and courtesy extended throughout these forums. Thank you all for this. I look forward to learning and contributing this wonderful community.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
