Touring - Trek 520.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Looks like the 520 is the only model with most of the features I want. The quality and most of the features and the SIZE. I'm 5'1". That means about 47 or 48 cm frame. I need fenders, front and rear racks and bags for them. I have some of the lights but the big kick is the MONEY. I just don't seem to get the overtime or a large expense comes up. Our 39th anniversary is coming up so there goes the bags, racks, and etc. I think I will be a proud owner ordering my first non-Xmart bike the middle of July. When it is adjusted and paid for I'm promptly going to ride it like I stole it! Anyone in the center of the US have a 520 or better bike that wants to help out a sort of newby by selling me a used one at a better than new price? TIA and God Bless. Blues Frog
I hope that you check out your local Craiglist: there are some Trek 520 there from time to time.
Good luck :)

My riding buddy has four treks, nice ones. The 520 is his favorite.
+1 on Craigslist.
You can always go to the "Rigid Fork MTB Conversion" route. Much, much cheaper.
