I'm 58. Live in Bellingham, Wa. Bought my first race bike 6 years before Lance was born. Bought a full Campy Nuovo Record (first year for Nouvo Record / before Campy brakes) Schwinn Paramount in 1966 for $225. Up from $175 in 1965. Raced for 4 years. Won a state championship. That was probably MUCH easier in 1967 than today. Worked in a bike shop for 4 years. Have done a fair amount of touring. I ride 75-100 miles a week. Have two bikes. One alum. frame / carbon fork commuter with 105 equipment, disc brakes & drop bars and one full carbon road bike with mostly Ultegra 6700 equipment.
