Touring - Portland, OR Airport Bike assembly Area

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The Portland Airport has just opened a room with a work stand and tools for travelers with bikes, here's the article.
Would you use this?

That's awesome. I would certainly use it if I flew into Portland, I always assemble my bike when I arrive at an airport, usually just in some corner.

Just another reason to give Portland the stink-eye. At least we -finally- have a light rail from the airport to downtown. (Seattle)

Yes, I frequently get a few curious onlookers when I take my Bike Friday out of its suitcase and start to assemble it and its trailer/case. Haven't flown into Portland, but I presume it has reasonable routes for biking to/from the airport. Quite a few airports are not very bike friendly and at those I sometimes hop on the first courtesy bus to some nearby hotel to do the assembly there.
But at an airport with good bike access I'd certainly appreciate having a place that's set up for convenient bike assembly/disassembly.

sweet but tough to drive an hour north to catch a plane for what would have been a 2 hr drive to the south
Awesome - as a frequent visitor to the states, I found Portland to be about the friendliest and most progressive place in the US. The only place I have been where homeland security were cracking jokes at the airport. Only a shame I did not have my bike with me!
Makes me wanna go to Portland... Freaking awesome.

Way cool! Now if we could just get some other cities interested?
