Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment - Anyone Read Heft on Wheels?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Has anyone read Mike Maganuson's book Heft on Wheels? It's a memoir about a very out of shape, alcholic who turns to cycling. Different...but I liked it and found it inspiring...and funny.
No, but I probably should...

I just started reading it.
I have not read the book yet. However, I got to meet the Author and ride with him at the end of September. Mike seriously ROCKS! My wife is getting me the book for Christmas, I think.

A great read. Nice insights on being overweight, teaching, too. He's obsessive, no doubt. I was wondering what his wife thought about the transformation. Marrying a hard drinking party boy boozer, and then ending up with a rock hard jock. Cool...

Just saw the book in Borders. I like the sound of it....sounds like me, albeit w/o the booze and smoking. I'm at 40, want to get from 235 to 170, and want to be a proficient cyclist.
I just finished the book. Yep, my wife got it for me for Christmas. Good book. Great guy.

I read the book, good read, I always enjoy his articles in Bicycling. As a big guy I really related to the book and as I begin my quest to lose weight I refer to it often for a little motivation.
