Foo - new apartment ~ decorate or turn into bike shop?

so should I make it a warm welcoming living space for friends and family to visit or just throw a mattress in a corner an make it my very own bike shop?

Depends on the size I'd say. I have a 2/3 ratio. Two rooms for living and comfort, one room dedicated to cycling with tools, clothes, ... plus kitchen.

His family probably won't be there all the time.......... I say bike shop too though, just to be safe

well whether or not if I have guests - I might not want those fumes my self. my kids might visit for a sleepover, and well ... maybe an adult female of interest from time to time.

edit - I see the OP is an adult who might be looking to establish a relationship. The bike shop would tend to be an effective way to weed out female acquaintances who might have designs on changing him, however, it might serve to damage his "chances". Obviously, his call in the end.

I hope he has a big apartment, multi story even. Driving your enemies before you in an efficiency is just asking for trouble. And don't get me started on the possible hearing damage that prolonged exposurue to lamentations in a confined space can bring about.
