The frame is a 2003 Specialized Allez Cr-mo which according to Specialized is made with Columbus FOCO, fully double butted, air hardened cr-mo steel(http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?arc=2003&spid=20908&menuItemId=0)
1) Can a local framebuilder repair/pull out the dent on the chainstay without replacing the chainstay?
2) How much should I expect to pay for this repair?
3) Can you recommend a framebuilder in Los Angeles?
4)Most important question: Is it safe for me to ride the frame with the dented chainstay? I have read many posts which state that dented steel is often ridden and safe, as long as the dent is shallow and not cracked. But some post mentioned that modern, lightweight steel is different.
5) If I choose not to invest in the repair of the frame, what is a fair resale price for the frame?
Thank You
