hey guys n gals, gotta bit of a problem, hoping someone would have an idea
upon getting my bmx (mongoose capture) i found that when my right pedal is vertical ( about to push down to pedal) it feels like its dropping under my foot and not biting atall. upon inspection i think i located it as the bottom bracket bolt being loose, as when i tighten it, it solves it, however. after a good 30 mins of pedalling its starts to do it again.

any ideas on how to solve this problem? as going to the cycle store would be bit outta my way

thanks for any info given

Kritche, mk.

Are you also tightening the lock ring on the bracket?

I had that problem on just one arm once...Loc Tite. Blue only. Otherwise you won't be able to get it apart if you need to.

You glued your bottom bracket?

That's fairly common. I used to use LocTite on my spindle and sprocket bolts.

Hm, I'll have to keep this in mind. I never thought of glue as a solution for loose things on a bike.

ill give it a go and let you guys know. if not fixed ill bite the bullet and carry the gimpish thing to store ( dont wanna riding it - may damage further)

Not exactly glued, just used it to expand the diameter of the bolt so that it would actually stay tight when I wanted it to. That's all Loc-tite really even is.
