What kind of watch are you wearing? What watch do you hope to purchase next?

I can't think of any watch I want to purchase next. I've had this one for about 10 years now. If it broke, and I couldn't replace it, I'd probably go with a Breitling Aerospace.
I'm not. And I won't be buying one. I have a Victorinox Swiss Army watch I bought new in the early 90's. Needs a new battery. Haven't worn it in several years. I use the clock on my cell phone.

Nexus chronometer with yellow anodized face and stainless bracelet.
I'm eyeing an Invicta with day/date/24h subdials on a green face with a stainless bracelet.
I don't wear expensive watches. I'll spend $75, maybe $100 at the most; but on average I only spend $50 on a watch (I get them on closeout deals. I don't even think the company "Nexus" is around any more.) To me they're just a snappy looking accessory, not a collector's item as they are for some people. I have a few that I wear that don't even work any more; I just like how they look.

and the watch I would like next would be a Laco, Stowa, or Archimede Flieger style watch.

I'm wearing a watch that works.
If and when it dies, I'll be looking for one that works.
was wearing this today:

Oris automatic diver with blue dial, steel case and steel bracelet. However my daily wear watch is an Oris automatic diver with a white dial, titanium case, and black rubber bracelet (pretty much the same watch and the rubber won't get scratched up from my desk at work).
Next watch purchase:
Not really planning on any in the near future since these two are pretty much perfect for me (in addition to the other Seiko watches I have), but if I were to get another watch it would be either an Orient Star or another Oris Diver with a black dial. Dream watch would be a plain automatic Omega Seamaster with blue dial.
Love Oris as well - great watches! Wish I still had mine. As you mentioned, I sold mine when my wife got me an Omega Seamaster for my 40th b-day...GMTA. They were just too similar-looking to keep both.

I only own 5 watches, I wore this one today. (no particular reason) I would love to own a Breitling that I've seen in a mall in A.C., can't remember the exact model but its a very classic/vintage looking watch.

This one most times. Sweat, sunlight and avgas rotted out the original brown strap, so right now there's a black leather one on it. Someday I'll spring for a nice steel (or ti :thumb:) bracelet.

My winter job is as an avalanche tech, so I need an altimeter. I use this one for that:

Someday, when I'm a high-time heli pilot with disposable income (instead of a struggling dirt poor low-timer :D), I'd love to have this:

I'm a watch enthusiast and have a number of different watches, mostly inexpensive mechanical watches. I usually wear a different one each week. The majority of them are Seiko but I have a Hamilton, a DeBaufre, an Archimede and a Stowa as well.

Depends on the type of watch. I have this one on my wrist right now, and another that reads the same time to the exact second....

i wear this guy:
http://images.ifguk.co.uk/products/4662/4662-large1.jpg
i dont have plans to replace it yet. between the forged stainless steel construction, swiss movement, and sapphire crystal its built like a tank. i wear it for "dress" and while working on my car.
Usually, no wristwatch, just the mobile phone clock.
I moonlight in the daylight as security one day a week at a jewelry store, and did just recently finish paying a 10-month layaway on a pre-owned Omega Seamaster, mid-sized, with a blue face. Yeah, I know, some say men should not wear mid-sized, but I have skinny wrists, and if I try on a full-sized Omega, it looks like a watch wearing a skinny guy.
In the early 1990's, I bought a Michel Jordi Sheriff watch at a high-end western wear store. (Bohlin now sells that watch.) It has served as a dress-up watch. It was enough, really; I had no business buying the Omega, except perhaps as a James Bond fantasy.

I always lose and / or break my wristwatches, so I've just given up on them.
No-name digital with day/date function; large display, since my eyes are starting to go.
I just got a new watch for father's Day -- a slightly different no-name digital that I won't wear to work until the present one dies.
My watches tend to get a little beat up.

If I had money and nothing to spend it on, I'd probably get another G-Shock or two, but I've got more important things to worry about at the moment. I did just get a Swatch Irony at a garage sale for $3, chronograph is messed up on it, but it looks cool.
