I was walking back from the library to my on-campus housing, not paying too much attention to things in general, when my eyes happened to skim over a skunk not 15' from me! It had definitely noticed me! I high-tailed it off the sidewalk and had to go around the adjacent parking lot to avoid it. I stayed for a few minutes to warn a couple girls and a guy. The girls, smartly, walked a wide circle around the skunk, while the guy began to throw dirt clumps at it. :rolleyes:
I was this close [ ] to being nicknamed "skunk girl", "skunky", or anything else that these crazy college kids could come up with. Of course, then I would have to transfer schools because of the shame. :cry:
