Does that mean he already gave watches to Popo, Levi, Rast and Kloden (I'm sure I'm leaving someone else out)?

I doubt the watch will ever end up on Lance's wrist...but may make a good fund raising item for LiveStrong!

I tend to agree that the press probably blew that out of proportion, but it did make for some
interesting reading etc.
was there friction between the two? undoubtedly
the tradition of the winner of the tour 'gifting' his team isn't new, most riders split their
winnings among the team the winner gets contracts and endorsements

it doesn't surprise me that things between them are better now. it's just like roommates. sometimes things are miserable living with someone, but once you split up things are great. it's a lot easier to get along with most people that you don't spend your whole day with, especially when you are competing for control of something.
