Hi there,
I've actually been lurking on this forum for a while since I picked up a 1963 Vista Duchess for $20 at a yard sale. She's needed alot of work, and thanks to the plethora of information around here, I've been able to get pretty close to resuscitating her. Just wanted to officially introduce myself and say thanks!

Welcome to Bike Forums.
1963 is getting into old bikes.
Do you ride it?

Yes, I do ride it. I'm not really a touring or distance rider, more of a weekend warrior, but it is a pretty comfortable ride. I'm pretty short and the frame fits me well, compared to pretty much everything else in my tap water budget. I rebuilt the derailleur, cleaned and regreased everything, new cables and tires. I even redid the seat. The powdercoater has it at the moment. It looks and feels like a completely different animal now. Its been a bit of an investment, but its a a lot more interesting than the walmart bikes I would've otherwise been limited to. Plus, despite being 45 years old, its still sturdier
