Northeast - Southampton NY Bike Group

I see lots of people riding but was wondering if a bike group existed in Southampton or nearby?

I know that Rotations used to do this but stopped after they were sued.

Well I found out that a group meets next to Rotations at 8:30 on Saturday & Sunday.

A bike shop got sued for having a group ride? Can you elaborate?

I saw a large group of cyclists heading south along Sears Bellows Park at around 8 AM last Sunday morning. Looked like a pretty intense ride as first I saw one guy who seemed to be smiling but actually had a crazed grimace of pain on his face, then two others a few seconds later, and finally a peloton of sorts a few seconds behind these two. Looked like one guy went off the front for some kind of town line sprint and two others gave chase.

Where was I? Oh, I can't answer your question but thought I'd share. I love riding out there, though Westhampton is two hours by bicycle from where my family lives.

There is also a Bikehampton Saturday morning ride.

7:00 or 7:30, depending on the time of year.

Its a parade for the 1st 6-7 miles and then splits up into A and B and goes for another 25-30 or so.

there was an accident during the club ride and the bike shop got sued as a participant since they opened the store early on sat for the group if they needed stuff and people used their backyard to socialize afterwards.
