Will an sram hollow pin 10 speed chain work as well with an ultegra 10 speed cassette as a shimano chain? I'm considering using the sram due to the easy on/off feature. thanks in advance for the replies.

Yes. Consider KMC or Wipperman as well.

Yes, I run SRAM chains with Shimano cassettes and Shimano chainrings with zero problems. I've been running SRAM chains for 10+ years with a mixture of Shimano and Bontrager chainrings.

Caution on the Sram Powerlock for 10 spd chains: per SRAM, they are not removable / reusable. The 7, 8, 9 spd Powerlink and below are removable.

I've been reading and hearing positive about KMC, and I believe their masterlinks are removable. I am likely to try a KMC in the near future.

They are easily removable / reusable with a Park MLP-1 tool.
I run a SRAM 10s chain on my Campy 10s road bike, and SRAM 9s chains on my Shimano touring and mtn bikes.
