....that you just have to leave the bike in the garage and take the wife out for a drive....
if only to hear her coo at the peaceful beauty of an old sailboat silently slipping out to sea...

...or to hear her gasp at the raw power of one of these....

...and to marvel together at the skills required to...

...and then enjoy a fulfilling treat together and reflect back upon the day at a place like this....

I always find that the Ice Cream tastes better when she's by my side.
Some days are so nice that the bike needs to be left in the garage. :)

Thanks, Lenny.
May you have many, many more.
Ohhhh......you old romantic, you.:p Does Mrs. Cranky read these posts?
I love that old sailboat. There's something about old sailboats, biplanes from the early days of aviation, and older bicycles that get me all wooshy.:thumb:

Lenny - love the photos, except the pesky jet skis, I had my fill of those insects years ago.
The sailboat - could be old, but because of the bow on the missen I suspect it's not that old.
Now as far as the ice cream parlor goes - it appears to me from the photos that there are a few very shapely items hanging around there, but I suspect that was not lost on you either. And as far as comfy seats - don't make me pull out the photos with the lazyboys bolted to a bent.:D
It was rainy here today - but hopefully tomorrow will be much better.
Ride on my friend.
Perfect day without a bike?!?! :twitchy:

Perfect day without a bike?!?! :twitchy:
It was the company he was keeping that made it prefect.

I got that part, but still... a great day without a bike, OK But perfrect? Different strokes for different folks. Perfect for me would ahve been a very similar one... with a bike ride either to start the morning or at the end of the day.

I'm with cyclingfool about the jet skis. I grew spending a lot of time at my grandparents' lake house and lived at the lake myself for a while until those infernal contraptions became popular and ended the possibility of enjoying the lake. But the sailboat and the ice cream look great.

+1. You can include snowmobiles too...bah!:50:
Note to self..........Do not let my wife read this thread;) Knock it off dude, you are making the rest of us look bad:notamused:
I opened the car door for my wife one evening and then from the porch of a house in the darkness a voice said..."Knock It Off". I asked into the darkness..."What?". The voice replied...."Being a Gentleman. It sets a standard we don't need around these parts" :D
