Hello from Manistee County, MI.
I am as of today a 53 y/o male who's getting back in the saddle again. My reasons are many and varied, not the least of whic is that I live in a really beautiful spot and want to get out and really see it. I also need to drop a few pounds, keep my B/P, glucose, and cholesterol under control. Doing this on a bike seems to make those tasks less odious.
I'm currently riding a cheapo bigbox store MTB but have started looking for an older steel-framed road bikesimilar to the old Ross that I foolishly gave away. (Or better yet, save my coins for a Surly Cross Check.)
I'll most likely be frequenting the 50+ and Clydesdale threads.
Thanks to all who contribute for your inspiration.
