Great Lakes - One Hell of a Ride - Southeast Michigan

Did any Great Lakes BFers (other than me and Mrs. Road Fan) participate in this ride Saturday, 7/11/10? It was a great ride - perfect weather, great scenery, smooth roads (90%), and very well organized. We did the 65 mile option - never mind our speed (first metrics!)! Available distances ranged from 15 to 100 miles.

I didn't ride during the event, but there were over 1700 riders during the Helluva ride. It's the annual ride sponsored by the Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society.

I haven't seen any total participation numbers, but it might be a lot higher due to the great weather - a lot of day of event registrations.

I'm a member of AABTS, and have ridden it in the past, not just this year. I'm just trying to find out (as I said) if any other BFers were there. Next year it would be nice to know ahead of time and at least start together. Next year Mrs. Road Fan wants to do the 75 miler if available, and I'd target the 100 mile loop.

I did the 65 mile route a well. It was a fantastic day for a ride!

Did the 40 on a perfect day. Outstanding organization with pre-ride food set-up, lunch and stops along the way. Looking forward to next years and a 65 miler.

I did the Hell of a ride, and it was a great day. I did the 76 mile route, and that is more than enough for me.beautiful day and alot of bikes. A year seems a long time to plan to get together but we could give it a shot.
