Don't spin your wheel all the way around...that's your issue.

EDIT, haha... i think i misinterpreted. You mean you're trying to do sick bar-spins and you can't

If I spin my wheel all the way around it gets stuck on the downtube of the frame what is my issue? I saw a few posts that said maybe bad frame or bad fork should i take it to my local lbs to check out. Thanks in advance.

Eh, more like a bad case of a rider with not enough knowledge of his bike. 1st, stop trying burspnz. 2nd, if it cant barspin nothing at all may be wrong. Many frames are made to where they do not have the ability to do so. And google Sheldon Brown, read the stuff about bikes.

Thanks for asking useless **** questions that lack any sort of description, don't ask if you don't know how to ask.

Your wheels shouldn't be able to turn around completely, unless you have a straight fork to do so. Not a case of bad fork or frame, just bad knowledge of the owner.

your original post was a little vague. and i believe many people come on here complaining that their old road bike conversion doesn't do barspins, thats probably why you got the reply you did.
to be honest, i'm still not sure what you mean. try posting a couple of pictures of the problem. could be a bulging tyre maybe?

is it only one point in the wheel-rotation that catches? or is it the whole rotation that rubs the downtube? also, what size tires are you running, and what kind of frame/fork is it? any pics to show us?

it does sound like something's askew (that is, if you're not trying to do sick barspinz), but without further info, it's hard to diagnose the true problem.

in the meantime, sounds like it could be a few things:
1: your frame could be ****ed.
2: your fork could be ****ed.
3: you're running tires that are too big for your fork/frame combo.
4: some combination of 1, 2, or 3.

Sounds like he is trying to spin his wheel completely around when he is locking up his wheel, so his wheel is closer to the frame and there's where the contact happens.

If your wheel is hitting the down tube when the wheel is rotating, then your fork might be bent, that's not likely to be the case though, you would know because you have to pedal extremely hard to get your bike going, it would probably makes some annoying sound too.

sounds like bent fork and out of round wheel, probably from the same impact.

Not many stock forks are meant to be spun around completely, this is absolutely normal.

You mean like this?

If your wheel can't do that, it is normal, don't worry about it.

that's the problem, touching like that? when the hell is that ever a concern unless you're trying to do barspins?

this is painfully stupid.

This is a case of the question going under my head instead of over. You hopefully have brake cables first of all that would prevent this. I just dont understand how this couldnt be figured out by just looking at the bike for more than a minute.

This is a pretty common problem with older road frame conversions. Check your chainline.

I've never experienced this before... It is usually painful right after the stupid.
