I completely removed the only bolt (other than the quill bolt) and it won't budge...baffled.....

loosening the bolt shown in photo 2 will loosen the handlebars.

In your picture # 2 there a hex key bolt behind the handlebar , loosen it and you can adjust your handlebars to where you want them and tighten when you are done.

AAHAA! Here is my stem!! It IS a one-piece dealio with some internal magic!!.......so I'm gonna soak it overnite with WD40 and see what I have tomorrow...
