I am almost done putting together my bike from bikes direct but it seems like i can't get the gear cables to hug against the frame. It seems like they are too short. i dont want to just leave them hanging, so how can i put them in the slot? All of my other bikes have always been pre-assembled so i never had to do this.

Or at least a better description. First you say you don't want them hanging and then that they may be too short. You can't have it both ways. Hence our confusion. Also be sure that you're intending to say "cable" and not "housing". Each is different.
