General Cycling Discussion - I wanna be a messenger

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hey guys, Im from Utah (just moved from michegan to this **** hole) and would just like to know a few things. First off, do companies like western union and things like that hire bike messengers, can you name a few really popular ones. Also, how old do you have to be to be a bike messenger? Can you name some of the best cities to be one in? All help is appreciated. Also I would love to become some kinda e-mail "buddie" dont think of gay ****, with somebody who is a messenger, just so I can learn about what its like. All help appreciated!

Theres one bike messenger delivery service in down town SLC, i think they have 3 riders, im not sure of the name of the outfit tho... check the phone book, they may let ya ride with them for a day, or help ya get started as a messenger.
As for the email buddy thing, theres a email group of bike messengers that gets a few messeges a day, i'll post later with the subscribe email address.
