I was riding about 20 minutes ago, and I saw a woman in a car in the next lane when I was stopped for a red light, she had a cell phone under her chin, a smoke in one hand, and this is the capper, she was breastfeeding a kid, someone should get this dizzy ***** off the street. I was going to get her licence plate # but she sped away before I could find a pen and paper. I deleted the quote that was here, becuase people make it sound like I was talking to every woman, I was referring to the woman I saw today, not women in general so give me a break.
"Woman and machinery do not mix."
Thanks, loser.
Assuming that the woman was also the driver, she should be reported to the cops. That's child-endangerment - breastfeeding/driving/smoking/talking on cellphone.
Canada doesn't require young children to be in the back seat of cars? Could you imagine what would happen to the baby is this dizzy dame where to be involved in a collision (a big posablity because she can't do all that and drive too). Too bad you didn't get her license plate number. She's definately endangering her baby and desperately needs a wake up call.

"Woman and machinery do not mix."
Thanks, loser.
Notice the original post used the singular term, as in the particular woman he witnessed -- not a generalization. If you're gonna lash out against a perceived slight, at least take the time to read carefully. Otherwise, it appears like you're just looking for an excuse to whine...

lala, next time do yourself a favor, learn how to read !!!!
Well I bet if they put everyone off the road that done something stupid then very few would be driving :)

TechJD, I doubt they would have done something this stupid. I have seen some dumb things but this one takes the cake

Oh, You mean THAT woman. Sorry man, woman and women is tough to seperate when you are reading. My fault.
Did she have big jugs?
I mean, that was inappropriate, and child endangerment.
Hmmm... funny this thread has arisen. I just snapped this picture yesterday of a poem tacked to a column in Seattle's Pike's Market.

sounds like something that belongs on t.v. :roflmao:

Breastfeeding a kid?
Hell, having a kid in your lap for any reason while driving is stupid. Kids should be in properly installed car-seats until they are old enough to use a seatbelt.
Just how soft is an infant's skull?

Add "filling in a form" to the mix, and you've got an idea of someone I saw back in 1998, and no, it doesn't surprise me.
Any sudden braking and you now have an 18 month old projectile...

It is just sad really. I mean some people have such a huge case of "insert head in ***** syndrome" its not funny at all. I saw woman doing her make-up on the drive in this morning. I also man in a Beemer with a cell in one hand and a coffee in the other trying to do the ol' switch-a-roo so he could hold the phone with his head and neck.
I pray/worry for that infant's life when I hear of this level of stupidity. I mean read my quote...
I was always brought up to never strike a lady however, if that was my wife, I be tempted to knock her out. No offense.
Hey! I love a multi-talented woman....quit bashing them!
Im just looking for one who can cook, iron, clean house and
answer my business phone all at the same time then in the
evening be ready to ride 20 miles HA!
I figured it was his typo: as in his revised post: "becuase people make it sound like I was talking to every woman."
Woman and machinery don't mix. The sentance doesn't make any sense, unless it is supposed to be women.
But it's all moot, he edited, he didn't mean it, etc, etc, etc.
Of course, in my commuting rage at the automobile world, I often think all sorts of nasty things. But at least I can read, if not type.
You still sound like a closet misogynist.

lala, I clicked on your website, and to me it look like you are some kind of a political activist, maybe that is why you are so upset about a meaningless little quote that I posted, you need to lighten up a bit and stop taking things so seriously. This is the last that I am going to post on this subject.
I've been rear ended 3 times in 11 years, guess what, they were all women, flame me I see what I see and I won't appologize.
Interesting thread.
And some forum members continue to insist that spelling and grammar don't matter....

geess all your worrie about is spelling and grammer
well I cant spell or type so read the typos and live with it
No worries, TechJD. Just enjoying a good thread derailment caused by a missing article. As to the original post, I thought there was a driver pulled over in Ohio a year or so ago and cited for unsafe driving because she was nursing on the interstate. I think she was trying to fight it based on some constitutional argument.

It sounds like what we need here is for technology to come to the rescue. Luckily I already have the perfect solution. Introducing The Handsfree Nursing Kit!

Wait, you mean she wasn't reading the paper and trying to eat a bagel too? I'd say she's an underachiever compared to the drivers around here...I agree though, putting a child at risk is different from putting all the other drivers on the road at risk.

Well, that is this crazy woman's child. If she does get in a wreck I'd call it natural selection. I just hope she doesn't get anyone else killed when she wrecks.
Any sudden braking and you now have an 18 month old projectile...
actually, when you think of the logistics of this, said child would have nowhere to go
(being wedged between the woman and the steering wheel.
The child doesn't become a projectile, the child becomes a very effective air bag.

you think she needs to lighten up, but "this is the last [you're] going to post on this subject" ?? Take your own advice there cap'n condescending.
nice of you to call your quotes meaningless in hindsight. They obviously meant something when you typed them. Or do all your words have no meaning? If so, spare us your posts.

My buddy was just rear ended two days ago.....he's got the most bright yellow vw bus you'd ever see...this WOMAN didn't.... apparently as she was reaching for her cell phone.

I've seen crash test videos where the car hits and the moment goes foward and up, throwing the dummies right out the window. Depending on the angle of impact, you will either have an 18 month old airbag or projectile. In either case, I would hate to be said 18 month old.
If I could, I would've taken a picture and reported her to the cops.

Going to work in the morning traffic , Im moving faster than the cars & trucks, on the inside of them ,the car level with me stops & waves a woman driving a car out of the exit of a service station, she's got a cell-phone glued to her ear & rushes out into the gap without looking & nearly puts me in the emergency room again .Luckily I had a fair idea that was going to happen so no accident happened but the potential was there , unfortunatly our govt. backed away from going forward with cell-phone / driving legistation. Although the driver was female, I've seen the simular from male drivers, Im not sexist but I did call her a stupid bit(h.

What name did you call the person who caused the near-crash, namely, the driver who waved out the cell-phoner? That driver was in no position to do what s/he did, if you were passing legally.

Funnest/scariest person I saw driving a car was in Medicine Hat Alberta. A woman was driving a car while eating corn on the cob and stearing with her elbows.
I remember reading the old Bay Area Drivers Hater's Website (does it even exist anymore) and there were quite a few number of reported incidents of "autoerotica"... one too many.
