Road Cycling - Nike Road Shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone have either the Hautacams or the Lance road shoe? How do you like em?

I have the poggio's. My experience with Nike bike shoes is that they are more on the narrow side. Other than that they are top notch.

I have the Ventoux shoes and have been extremely satisfied. As kewlrunningz said, they tend to be a bit narrow (which works well for me). I'll probably be looking at Nikes once these wear out.
I'm sorry but I would never buy a Nike product. I can't turn a blind eye to their treatment of workers just because Lance is affiliated with them. Unfortunately they have a strong PR campaign and their image seems to go unscathed still today.
I can't even find any stores that carry them so i can try them on

Trek dealers should be able to stock them. I know Nike and Trek have some sort of online agreement, not sure it that remains in store as well. All of Nike's cycling gear is made in Italy as well.
none of my lbs that are treks dealers have any nike shoes.

i have the nike hautacams
i love em.
initially the mouth of the shoe was tight and i thought i would be in for a world of hurt, but after 3x 20 mile rides, they softened/loosened up. the shoes are incredibly light and are very snug. it's hard to beat $99 for a cf shoe that's spd, spd-r, and look compatible with a ratcheting buckle up top. the shoe breathes very nicely...i get cold easily so it breathes a little too much for my tastes so evening rides i have to get some neoprene toe warmers soon. on a hot day, though, it breathes extremely well and doesn't get hot at all. they are narrow...i have a B width foot and a semi-high instep...no squashing of the instep and it's not too narrow for my foot profile.

I have the Hautacams. I bought them solely because of price (cf sole for $99!), but I couldn't be happier with them. No hot spots, easy to adjust for comfort, and a good stiff sole.

i've got the poggios. I think...like other people said...they run a pinch narrow. I like it, though. I too, have a narrow foot.
I have found that I carbon sole is getting really scratched though. I'm not sure if that means its gonna fail soon...I sure hope not.
I work off of Mira Mesa - a hop, skip and short bike ride away from you. I live up in Escondido - a slightly longer ride away. I plan to start commuting by bike next week though. Just maybe one way (wife works across the street - she can carry clothes and the bike can go on top of the car for the ride home since the roads are a bit busy for me after dark). :D
