Greetings cyclists!

I'm a casual but passionate rider. I live in Fairfield County, CT and have a 2nd home in Stratton VT, with the latter my peference for riding. (One day, I hope to ride from one home to the other.) I've always liked riding and started fairly seriously when I was 16, but living in the NYC metro area, I really dropped it for the past 20 plus years.

I ride a Serrotta Concours that I bought for a milestone birthday about 7 years ago, and found this web forum while looking for a Dura Ace 7700 left shifter. Mine broke on my last ride, which wasn't tragic because i was most of the way home, but frustrating because I really don't want to buy a whole new group.

I look forward to sharing and learning from everyone.

not yet...I found a pair of shifters, new, but they are $489. Ouch. so maybe if i'm going to keep the frame a long time (love my Serotta) I switch to campagnola with compact double? not sure. yet but I have to decide today. Hate spending the 1500 extra, but also hate paying up for older technology.
