Wow, what an adventure!!! 7 days, 210 miles from Durango, CO to Moab, UT on mountain bikes with 5 good friends. From high alpine terrain to the western desert back to alpine and finally down into Moab. Lots of climbing. LOTS!! Good descents, too. We had rain, thunder, hail, showers, sunshine, cold temps and blistering desert heat. Gravel, mud, stream crossings, dust, rock, gravel and some pavement. Bugs, deer, hawks, eagles, a bear and lots of little critters. Just an amazing week!!! San Juan Huts does a great job stocking the huts that made this trip possible and enjoyable (well, OK, except day 6 with over 5000' of climbing in just 26 miles... that was just work!). And in the end, with the close quarters and all, we're all still friends and will ride together again on another adventure!

Awesome country, do you have a map of the route? You must have gone over the Uncomphagre Plateau maybe. Hut's make all the difference, love them in winter too.

I haven't downloaded my GPS tracks yet, but I will have a map and profiles. We went through part of the Uncomphagre Nat. Forest, so I'm guessing we went over the plateau, too.
