I have an all black bike right now, but I want to replace all visible bolts and nuts with colored ones to go with a theme. I want to do everything I possibly can. I was about to order a bunch of things from here (http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?cat=Nuts%20Bolts%20and%20Washers&START=0&LIMIT=60), but I don't know what sizes I need and what goes where.

Does anyone know the size of the bolts for the crank? Or the size of the bolts they put in the holes made for bottle cages? Any other things I should color coordinate?

I'm going to guess you're going to catch a lot of flak...

I mean, it's your cash, spend it how you please, but in my opinion, you can get a just fine lookin bike with a very matchy-matchy colorway without going through the effort of color coordinating the individual bolts...

That being said, your best bet will be to take sample bolts to a hardware store or contact manufacturers for bolt sizing, just to be sure.

The problem with painted bolts is that once you use them, the paint will chip/flake/scratch.

This is why I adjust/install all my components, then mask the bike, except for exposed bolts and bring it to a professional painter for a base/clear spray on all my bolts. Worth every dollar.

Weird, I used to do the same thing until every last colored bolt was stolen off my bike. It was a nightmare trying to walk the bike home.
