Locking suggestions

Howdy, I recently purchased a Cycle Genius X3.0 bent. I just love it, but how does one lock these things to other things and where does the lock attach to the bike? Does anyone have a good recomendation on Locks/cable/cuffs/etc.
Please help.

Was sending this information to me helpful, no. :rolleyes: If you didn't have a good suggestion on type of lock, why reply to the message? Yes it was very interesting, will not buy that style of lock. What about cable locks or handcuff style locks.
I wanted the pro/cons of locks for my bent. Not some babbling on how to open the lock.
Gee let's tell everyone how to open our locks.

Please advise on other suggestions.

You don't say if you have a stick or triangle. From the question it seems like a stick like a Burley. Cuffs are about the only way - one side of cuff right in front of or behind the seat and then with a long cable to the front wheel - cinched one end onto itself and other end to the cuff. Any sturdy object is good to keep the whole assembly there with the cable or cuff securing the bike in place. Of course the handle bars, seat, rack, accessories are all prone to walk off if you leave any bike in a remote location.

The Bike Cuff's are hard to pick, and strong enough to rate the highest security rating on the street (9). Most theives will pass up aircraft hardened cable and move on.

Any lock can be picked, most are harder than the above thread about Kryptonite's.

It doesn't matter what type of lock you use. If a thief wants your bike bad enough he is going to get it. Probably a few feet of case hardened logging chain and a big 'ol Master padlock would be just as effective. BEFORE I read the post on the security of the "U-Lock" I used my old Kryptonite to lock up my RANS Tailwind. I put it around the top frame tube (the long, fat one) and around a part of the bike rack. The bike was not in the rack but rather beside it. Since this was at a grocery store in a small rural town I wasn't too concerned about theft. In the city where I work I would probably attempt to take the bike inside with me rather than locking it up outside though.

Well I was going to suggest using the chain version of this lock (as I do) but after reading the article I'm not sure it's a good idea so I thought I'd offer that advice so you wouldn't spend a bunch of money on something that may not be worth it. I hope I answered the question right this time.
