Hybrid Bicycles - Hybrids and bag selection

I've been pondering my luggage configuration, so I started going through the picture sticky. Went through the first 25 pages before giving it up (might finish today). I noticed that quite a few are using bento boxes/top tube bags, trunk bags are well represented, but hardly anyone (save for the drop bars) was using handlebar bags...

Anyway, I have a question for those top tube bag users- how much of what kind of stuff do you put in there?

I use both a seat bag and bento box on my Sirrus Sport. The seat bag holds my tools and stuff, along with my wallet. The Bento box holds my cell phone, some lens wipes, a Cliff bar, a tube of lip balm and my bike lock keys.

Trying to eliminate the seat wedge, so I was curious if those who use the bento box thought they could hold a patch kit and tire levers, along with a Park MT-1 (http://parktool.com/products/detail.asp?cat=11&item=MT-1). I was thinking about a frame bag, but then I'd lose the road morph that is mounted on the underside of the top tube.

How many inches long is that Park tool? I fit a 14/15mm wrench in this configuration...

I like truck bags, and have a frame mounted bag for tool kit, I have a handle bar bag, but it interferes with my cables.

Roughly 4.5" x not quite 2" x .5". Added a link to it in my second post (#3 overall) to it. It's about the same size as my phone on two planes, and narrower on a third.

If you like the idea of a triangular frame pack, it sounds as if it would fit, in addition to a patch kit and levers.

I do like the idea of a frame bag, but I have a road morph pump taking up real estate where the frame bag would go. I suppose I could locate some hefty zip ties and move the pump to the seat tube.

The top tube bag may not work for me after all, since my control cables are routed along the top side of the top tube.

I'll just keep doing what I've been doing- flat kit, tube, and tools in a ziplock baggie and throw that into whatever backpack/pannier I happen to be using.

That's useful to know. Could you also tell us when and where you'll be parking over the next few weeks? :D
