So far I have lost 70 pounds and a number of people seem to ask the same question, is it intentional/on purpose?

You know when I was heavy no one asked if I was gaining weight intentionally.

Do they think I have some medical condition and am about to take the dirt nap?

A lot of people resigned themselves to be over weight, so when someone does lose a bunch of weight it catches them off guard. Wait until they start asking what magic pill or diet you are on. Then it's time for some fun. :thumb:

Naw, they just curious as to if it was intentional and how you achieved it. I lost 75 lbs and coworkers was amazed as how I did it, so I lie to them and told them it was the magic diet pill Alli. (http://www.myalli.com/About_alli/alli_in_the_body.aspx?rotation=30493637&banner=208383305&placement={placement**) So then I gave them a few sample and in a day or two.......bam! A changed of underwear with the first liquid fart.

obiwan, you looked like a piece of iron at the Mendocino Monster. I think most overweight people find it very difficult to lose the lbs(since their idea of dieting is to eat a bit less & not excercise). Conversely they see your program working so well, they have that jealous/concern type question of "Hey, you OK, you look so much thinner".

When I lost a lot of weight a while back, the response was usually, "Wow, so you had the surgery, right?" That used to piss me off, having done it the old fashioned way (diet & exercise). However, now I wish I had known about Alli back then; this is brilliant!

That Alli stuff actually does work. I lost 7 lbs when I tried it, but the end result was not very delightful. On my first mishap, I thought my bowel was gone. Not only that but the cost of the pill and underwear was getting to the point where I could have bought a really nice bike with the incentive to ride it and probably lost just as much weight or more.

Funny though is that everyone is always looking out for that magical diet pill that does can do wonder and very seldom do they ever see the real reason of how we lost weight. Since they don't believe biking can help lose and maintain weight, so I gave them a that magical solution which does wonder indeed! Oh the power of curiosity from the mind :)
