Foo - Wondering about some second opinions on guitar and sing :)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I love playing guitar and have for almost 10 years but I have always been a private singer.. I have that self critisism that says I'm no good but I want to break out of that and work hard to get to a point were I can sing and play and do it well. So just wondering what all you folk think and I guess if there is such a way any suggestions?
This vid is kinda goofy to so it will be a little laugh as well :)

First off, a vocal coach can help you more than Foo. That said, you over emphasize much of the words, using your words as percussion and placeholders. If you want to be lyrical get a little softer with your words. Your tone also seems a bit flat, but that's really common (look how successful Barbara Streisand is!). You have great lyrics, though. I quite like the song!
EDIT: You're not a bad singer, just raw. A couple lessons of focused drills and one-on-one pointers will turn you into a more refined singer. :)

First of all thank you, and I guess I wasn't looking for help persay just wanted to share what I'm working on at the moment :) hehe. I'm going to find someone to help me with a little vocal coaching.
I think another part of me wanting to share is that if it gets out and I talk to a lot of people about it I can see a progress plus I tend to be a procrastinater this will help push me to get it done and start seriously workig on it as I want to get better :)

Well you asked what we thought and for suggestions and he gave them to you.
I work in a warehouse and have a large refrigerated storage area. I often sing in there because nobody can hear me with all the fans running and such. It's safe for everyone at work. They aren't exposed to my screeching.
My suggestion?
Don't quit your day job.

With thick doors and heavy latches. And an axe mounted to the inside wall in case I get locked in.
