Northern California - argghh! 2 days post crash and I am going nuts!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I went over the bars at Chabot Sunday and Separated my left shoulder due to not seeing a dip full of powder and braking through it and loosing my front traction.
You just don't appreciate having 2 hands to do everything with until you don't. :notamused:
On a good note, my Fox Flux helmet worked awesome and took the dent so my head did not! :thumb:
Hopefully I will be back on the bike and to work asap. Orthopedic appointment on Friday to see how bad it really is, and how soon I can be back on the bike. Grrh. Only got one ride on my new Magura fork and new to me wheels and was having the ride of my life up until the crash.
I will stop whining now :D

Some advice while you're off the bike: Avoid BF like the plague. It'll drive you nuts reading about everyone else's rides etc.

Find some good books or movies or whatever, but don't come back to this site until you're riding again. Just my 2 cents:).

I feel ya, my left hand has been in a cast or splint for 7 weeks with 5 to go.
Surgery fixed it, but I probably won't be riding until Oct.
Can't stay away from BF or other sites, though.
