Hi.

I have pretty much settled for a KHS Flite 100. I will have to ship it to my country (Sweden) and I will not be able to try it before buying. I think I'm ready to take the risk.

What is more slightly more worrying is that I can only get the size 55cm version.

The sizes for this bike are:
55 c-c / 58.5 c-t / 56 toptube.

My measurements are (competitivecyclist.com fit calculator):

I will be using it for commuting and longer weekend rides.
Is the size way off? Could the too short seat tube range be adjusted by adjust the seatpost? Top tube length looks fine?

Preferably I think I would go for the Mercier TT Kilo, but bikesdirect wont ship to Europe.

The Flite 100, like the Kilo TT, is sized a bit differently than most bikes b/c they measure certain tubes c-t instead of c-c. Because of that, the 55 prob fits more like a 56-57 and should work for you, although possibly a bit smaller than you'd like. Shouldn't be off by more than what you could tweak with a setback seatpost and/or longer stem.

http://www.bongous.com I think I heard about these guys through gizmodo, and they were highly rated... Anyway I've never had to use them, but they could be right up your alley. Unless the surcharge from bongo is crazy high, or they ship through a pricier carrier, you just may be able to get that kilo...
