I use Google Street View for checking out some of my cycling routes ahead of time. I was checking a possible route and went for the Street View and got this:
Is there a bike lane? (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=dripping+springs+tx&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF8&hl=en&hq=&hnear=Dripping+Springs,+Hays,+Texas&ll=30.193022,-98.216524&spn=0,0.004812&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=30.193153,-98.215849&panoid=-s3oic8HVsCOGQbm5V7aWA&cbp=12,80.24,,0,5)
You can actually see the taillights of a couple of cars up the road. There's a long stretch of this road they took at night...not much help.
