Only 10 more days left of planning until our bike group members meet in Glenwood Springs! Only 10 members will be going, but some of there family members may join us on the rides.
We have 3 "official" rides planned: Day 1 (Aug. 2) we'll ride the Glenwood Springs trail. Day 2 will be the Rio Grande with a stop at Woody Creek Tavern; if we feel ambitious enough and there's time, we may ride to Aspen. Day 3 is a short ride to Carbondale for a stop at the little place we visited last year for muffins and coffee (I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but we loved it so much we're devoting a short ride just to this place!). This year we're staying at Cedar Lodge where one of the members will (coincidently) be attending a large family reunion.
In addition to these rides, there are a few other rides, and maybe some hiking if we can fit it in. The Hanging Lake trail is closed for maintenance part of the summer but (last time I checked) will be open while we are there.
I hope we'll have at least 1 dinner at the Italian Underground, since our group enjoyed it so much last year.
I will post pictures on my Facebook page and share pics here as often as I can.
