i just purchased a Ciocc Pro Race 16.5 EOM.

I currently own two other bikes. One of my bike is a custom alum frame (daily rider) and the other i have been storing so when my daily alum bike craps out. This is the bike i have been saving

I want a steel bike to ride and train, my question is can i remove all the parts from the trek madone and put it on the ciocc. I did see that the ciocc uses italian threads (dont know what that means exaclty but ..). Will that effect anything? can i build the CIocc with all the parts from the madone?

The Italian threads will - as far as I know - certainly mean that your bottom bracket will need to be changed. I'm pretty sure that everything else should be fine.

I presume you'll be getting an experienced mechanic to swap everything? They should be able to inspect the frame, note any potential problems and quote for the work/parts needed.

Actually I am doing it myself. I have been doing minor things on my own and have all the tools, books etc for the job.

I want to make it a project as well. Of course i will go to a LBS if i get stuck, but for the most part i should be ok.

Actually i already stripped the madone frame and all the components yesterday with no problem. So do i just buy a BB that is compatible w/ my ultegra components but with Italian threads

Probably - but I'm not an expert, so you'd better ask this question in the mechanics forum or at your LBS.
