Hey I recently bought a Cannondale F9 about 2 months back and now there seems to be a small noise coming from the gears at the back. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Too many possibilities without knowing a bit more. Describe the sound, does it happen all the time, only while coasting, or only while pedaling? Is the volume related to how hard you're pedaling, ie louder when hill climbing? Is it in all gears or only certain combinations.

Depending on what you've been riding through it may just need cleaning and the chain cleaned and re-lubed. Or perhaps the derrailleur has shifted slightly due to the cable wearing in from initial use and you just need to slightly adjust the barrel adjuster. Does it seem to shift easier one way than the other?

No not at all....Infact I appriciate that you are ready to help me out ! Well regarding the sound...It mostly happens when I am in top gear..I tried to figure out if the disc alignment is improper or something..but its allrite...I haven't taken it for servicing for quite a long time... is that an issue??

When you say top gear I'm assuming you mean the smallest cog. If so than check that the limit screw on the derailleur is set properly and that the chain isn't too long
