Hi everyone,
I just bought my first road bike after not riding for many years. Its a Kabuki Skyway from 1980 or so, its the perfect size since it is a 67cm frame. I plan on stripping it down and rebuilding it into a bike with personality. I've been looking at a bunch of websites online so hopefully they'll have the information I need to complete my project, if not I'm sure I'll be posting on the site.

I'm moving downtown and parking a car would be a giant pain so I thought using a bike to commute most places would be more convenient.

What part of Texas? Considering the roads in many areas of the state, you may want to consider a hybrid for short-to-medium commuting, and save the road bike for roads you've already checked out and found to not be too poorly maintained. Replacing wheels on a regular basis isn't fun.
