(Newbie question alert)

I'm looking into getting the wireless Flight Deck for my new Trek 2300 (it's acually the 2001 model) but I'm not sure how to differentiate between Ultegra ST-6510, ST-6501, and ST-6500 shift levers. My Ultegra shifters have one button on each brake hood. Could someone please tell me which model I have based on the above information? I want to make sure I get the correct wiring harness kit.

Q: Do you really need an expensive piece of techno-crap to tell you what gear you're in ???????

Probably not, but I thought I'd entertain the idea. I suppose the cost difference could be put toward more practical things anyway. I've been doing some reading of reviews and have found that there are a lot of inherent problems with the computer, so now I'm leaning towards an inexpensive computer that does the basics and will be reliable.

I'm using Cateye Mity3 which I paid like $19 for
and does everything I want with the exception of cadence.
I looked at the high zoot stuff but figured I could
spend my money better on other bits.
(given the bastardization of english we yanks are
alway accused of thats NOT bit as in bird  )

I like the gear display. Anything that keeps me from taking my eyes off the road is valuable. I have the 6501, which uses a single button on each Ultegra hood. I don't know about the other models.
