Classic & Vintage - Where can I get this Sturmey Archer Shifter part?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It's a ferrule, but it has a lip at the end which allows it to hook into the shifter mechanism. These are often corroded and the lip part has broken off.
What are they called, and does anybody know where I can find replacements?

Thanks. So I guess I have to buy the cable, that comes with the ferrule.
Any OLDLBS might have some......but you might have to talk the cranky old dude in the back to free one up from His private stash.:D

I bet I've got one in my SA stash. PM me an address and I'll send it. It might not be the shiniest part on the bike.

It looks like it might be a good idea to replace the cable, too. It's probably rusty. If it breaks you are stuck in high gear.

I always got mine with the cable...and I just broke an OEM cable on my old beater Sports:( I have a universal, but I am going to doctor it and use the swivel piece from the hub end of the old cable.;)

Got something against universals? I use nothing else.

I don't like the universal anchor points, I prefer the OEM style. But I know how to convert them, using a bit of brass rod and some solder or JB weld.
