And this is why I lock my bike up inside a locked tool room when I commute to school in Boston.

Heh. According to that chart, I live in one of the higher-theft neighborhoods, but I park during the day in a lower-theft area. Actually, I live a couple of blocks from police headquarters, and overall it is a fairly safe neighborhood. And it is hard to tell if this is because of more reporting/enforcement, more bikes in town or how this compares to the number of bikes in use here, which is rather a lot. Have other cities been seeing more theft?
