Don't get too upset, they routinely don't update their status. It very well may be delivered on time.

Not anymore, it's been over two years since I've purchased a bike from BD.

"Not anymore"? Did you have shipping problems? I think it's really f**** on UPS part to say a package is being delayed due to adverse weather conditions when I've checked the forecast in that area and nothing strange comes up. In fact its 80 and sunny.

There won't be any status updates while it's en route between two hubs. Chill.

Gah, still no bike. Tracker still says it's in IL. Yes, I realize there won't be any updates between hub travel --- but there are updates on departures from hubs. This is really irking me.

It may have gotten delayed at a different hub or if it is being shipped by rail and the train has to pass through a flood zone? Best one I ever had was some critical equipment being shipped via UPS overnight...it was on the plane that caught on fire in Philly a few years back, took me another 4 weeks to get it replaced...

It seems that the likelihood of UPS delays for delivering anything is directly proportional to your level of anticipation. Not really a BD issue though.

seriously, this is not a bikesdirect problem and you posted that you were "suffering" on the day it was due, knowing that UPS had weather issues? jeez man chill.

I *know* this is not a BD issue. It is a UPS issue: as always! I e-mailed BD and got a quick response this morning. I guess there had been some flooding in the area and so bikes are supposed to be delivered on Monday. :)

BD always takes care of me. Got 3 bikes from them so far. UPS on the other hand always effs stuff up. I got a quote, went to the store and my measurement was a 1/2 inch off (due to a piece of cardboard being taped on to cover a hole) so the price went from 90 to 150. I didnt have a choice but to pay it. UPS+FedEx=FedUp

If you think the delay is a worry, add to the fact that the bike might get damaged during shipping,UPS done just that to me,from a location only 145 miles away.
DHL took two and a half weeks to deliver my 3 day international document from Seattle to Toronto. They put it on a train and then lost track of it. Lost $700 in plane tickets and missed Christmas vacation due to that. Yay.
