I am new and have a question. In the normal riding my bike is doing fine, but when I start to put some serious torque onto the pedals I will hear a little clicking noise. Am I using an incorrect gear and thereby putting too much pressure on something or is it something I might be able to check and see. If I am just coasting or whatever I don't hear it. I am wondering if it is something around the chain?? I know that is not a lot of information but might give someone an idea on where to point me to look.

What bike is it.
What gearing do you have on it.
Have you lubed the chain or pedals?

The most common cause is insufficient torque on pedals or crank arms. Rather than all of us guessing, try this: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/creaks.html. The experience of figuring it out yourself will be worth it, but if it's not for you take it to your LBS.

Yeah sorry...it is a Cannondale r700 2007. I will go to the site to see if I can learn something :)
