So, it's already tomorrow and the changed route seems interesting, with 6 categorized climbs- and Jaizkibel appearing twice. Also, despite Contador, Menchov and Chavanel's withdrawals, squads look really strong- six from TdF's GC top ten are taking part along defending champion Barredo, Nibali, Sastre, Lulu Sanchez, Vino, Arroyo and many others.
Rodriguez and Samu Sanchez have already expressed their excitement with new route and said it suits them perfectly.
Personally I'm a little dissappointed with Vino replacing Alberto- I wanted to see Navarro fighting for himself for once (Contador probably wouldn't go for the win), but it seems less likely now.
Anyway, my guess is Rodriguez will win with maybe Nibali as runner-up.

Was fun to watch, certainly better than last year. Vino is undestructible, the guy is almost 37, did both Giro and TdF, got to San Sebastian by private plane from criterium in Sint-Niklaas, together with Schleck who withdrew after 120 km- and he seems almost as fresh as it can get. Both him and Lulu Sanchez were attacking fantastically and Gesink did amazing job chasing- too bad that there was no one to change him. And though I believe that Sastre will finish Vuelta on decent position (he can prepare better than for Giro and TdF), I'm surprised by his podium today. Also, nice Zubeldia's comeback.

I know I thought zubeldia had retired...I had a feeling it would be a spaniard who would win, probably sanchez but also thought maybe vino.
